LEDge 105 installed at Tom Dixon’s Portobello Dock store

In April, Unibox launched their Ledge 105 at the VM Show in London. Ledge 105 features the latest in LED edge lighting technology, making it possible to create sophisticated lightboxes which contain an easily reconfigurable, magnetic display system.

Following the show, Unibox have been working closely with the innovative, British design team at Tom Dixon to test its adaptability and experiment with the boundaries of Ledge 105 for their Portobello Dock store. Nick Wraith, Managing Director at Unibox was on site for the install and commented:

“Ledge 105 is our latest product development showcasing our lightbox and tension fabric capabilities. Designing Ledge 105, we never imagined it would be quite this big, supporting such heavy items. However, as a company, we’ve always strived to push product boundaries beyond the expectation of their use – and that’s exactly what we’ve done with Ledge 105 for Tom Dixon.

“The Ledge 105 installed at the Portobello Dock store is much larger than our original prototypes at the VM Show, and the shelves are wider, challenging the strength of the magnets, highlighting the flexibility of the product. It’s been a fantastic first install and has helped us explore the versatility that Ledge
105 can offer any retailer, visual merchandiser or designer.”

Tom Dixon’s iconic designs are elegantly displayed on bespoke laser cut shelving, attached by the Ledge 105’s invisible, magnetic display system.
